Discussion, Tagging, and Viewers

Comment on surveys, tag interested users, and see who has access to a survey.

Discussions

When you open a survey, the survey results appear on the left side of the page and a discussion area opens on the right. This allows you to discuss survey results in Retain on the same page as the relevant survey.

The employee who took the survey cannot see this discussion. (The Viewers section below explains who will be able to see the discussion.)

Tagging Users

Ensure a specific Retain user sees your comments by tagging them in a discussion comment. To tag a user, press the @ symbol and select the person’s name from the drop-down menu. The tagged viewer will receive a notification by email with a link to the discussion.

In the example screenshot, Lucious didn’t tag any users in his comment. This comment will be visible to anyone who opens the survey, but no one will be notified by email.

James, on the other hand, tagged “@Lucious Fox” in his comment. In addition to the comment being visible to anyone who opens the survey, Lucious will receive an email notification that says he was mentioned in a discussion. If he clicks on the link in his email and logs in, he will be taken to the survey so that he can see the comment James left for him.

Viewers

Click on the Viewers tab to see:

  • A list of everyone who has access to this survey.
