The First 100 Days on the Job

Learn why Retain focuses on new hires.

As we've gathered data from 1000s of employees through Retain, we spotted a trend. Staff in the senior care sector is most likely to leave in their first 100 days on the job. Four in ten new hires will quit during that first 100 days, which is why Retain zeroes in on engaging employees during that time. When managers get involved and act when Retain prompts them, they make a huge difference in that number.

In one of our case studies, employees who took even a single survey were 50% less likely to leave the company in the first 100 days. Even better, when managers left comments about the survey, that employee was 65% less likely to leave. Retain collects employee surveys, flags potential separations, and prompts managers to check in with employees

High employee turnover is both expensive and avoidable. Many of the most common reasons for quitting are preventable through clear communication. It is imperative to make sure your relationship with your employees is healthy and exposes issues such as lack of recognition or training. Giving employees a chance to speak their mind and be heard is one of the least expensive ways to boost morale and increase job satisfaction.
